I’m a software engineer, currently working at YugabyteDB.
I got into programming through competitive programming in C++. When I joined my first job at Zeta, I had never written a line of backend code, and when my mentor asked me to raise a PR, I googled it and got Public Relations.
Over the next four years I bounced around a lot: monitoring with Prometheus and Grafana, a Vue frontend for an internal database tool, running Flink and Airflow on Kubernetes, and finally backend work, building a Flink-as-a-Service platform in Java and Spring Boot. These days I mostly write about Postgres, network protocols, and whatever else I end up poking at. Writing lives under blog, and a few side projects under projects.
